There's an old story, related by Alexander Solzhenitsyn in The Gulag Archipelago, of someone who stopped applauding for Joseph Stalin at a meeting, and went to the Gulag for it. Mere keeping silence was not enough. If you think that is a wild story, see how it is enforced by corporations in the USA now.
This is the list of Stalinist companies which destroyed the "republican form of government" guaranteed by the Constitution for Indiana, and nullified religious freedom in that state. You are now required to celebrate what you consider evil. Please notice that many of these companies were already well-known enemies of humanity before the Indiana uproar. It is a consistent pattern.
It was my sister Rose who notified me of this several weeks before (March 5):
"I never imagined that using my God-given talents and abilities, and doing what I love to do for over three decades, would become illegal."
Those are the words of Baronelle Stutzman, the owner of Arlene's Flowers in Richland, Washington, in her February 20, 2015 letter to Attorney General Bob Ferguson. You see, AG Ferguson sued Ms. Stutzman for unlawful discrimination because she acted consistent with her faith and declined to use her creative skills to beautify a same-sex 'wedding' ceremony.
Ms. Stutzman is persecuted for refusing to applaud by Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson, who to my shame is a graduate of Bishop Blanchet High School (1983), my high school alma mater (1964).
None of the above companies are necessary for anything. They can all be destroyed, just as Johns-Manville Corporation, the company that concealed the deadly properties of asbestos in the mid-20th century, was destroyed. Let their skills be exercised by businesses who are friends of humanity.
